Two Growing Boys – July 2013

Welcome to Winter. It’s so cold that our intrepid subjects seem to have lost their minds and have started dressing as animals. Either that or their Mum lost her mind when she bought them these outfits. I’ll leave it to you to choose.

We have survived the birthdays and, more importantly, the parties mainly intact and with some sanity preserved. We now have a 10 and an 8 year old in the house. It seems a little cliched to say that they are getting bigger but it is true. I review the whole catalogue of these growing photos before I posted this entry and the difference between the first and this month’s is quite startling. Pretty soon they will have decent jobs and be paying me rent. Well, a chap can dream.

Musical Cornucopia

2013 is turning into a cracking year for new music from some of my favourite artists. I feel like I am being spoiled.

I’ve already taken delivery of Standards by Lloyd Cole and Alaska by The Silver Seas. Both are in heavy rotation and get better by the listen. As if that wasn’t enough I have already placed my advanced orders for these upcoming albums:

As if that wasn’t enough I heard today (via @johnbirch1960 on twitter) that Prefab Sprout are releasing a new album, called "Crimson/Red" on the 7th of October, just in time for my birthday. It is truly an embarrassment of riches.
