SAHD Man

Alexanders first pair of shoes My first day as a SAHD has gone quite well. It started at 5:30 or so, there was a brief respite between 6:30 and 8:00 and I am just now winding down at 9:00pm. Rather strangely for me there has been virtually none of that there intarweb surfing that usually occupies so much of my day. Apart from a quick visit to this source of wisdom. Frankly, it all looks a bit hippy to me.

The highlight, for number one son at least, was the purchase of his first pair of proper shoes. For the record he is size 2H (short and wide), although I’d hate to see how teeny the size 1 shoes are. Click on the little picture to the left for a bigger shot of what the well dressed toddler about town is sporting at the bottom of their pins these days.

I did manage to slip away for an hour at lunchtime to go for a swim, a luxury that won’t be available to me next week when my beloved is back at work.

Just for a little stereotyping, this afternoon we went to a ladies coffee get together. Which was nice. Tomorrow is toddler swimming and a visit to the health visitor. Its non stop this life you know.

  1. Ooooops – those arrogant English are at it again … and at Twickers too. Tschh tschh. Just watching a replay on my sky + – even better the second time round.

  2. One shouldn’t sound smug when one’s team loses (again) … but I trust you didn’t put any of your money were your mouth was. Trust your first day home alone has passed by without any mishaps, trips to casualty, etc, etc.
