I spotted a couple of interesting stories in the Sydney Morning Herald today. The first is a simple write up of a news wire report which says, in essence, that people who drink with their colleagues are more likely to get promoted. You see dear, the odd after work sherbet is actually career development and is definitely not in any size, shape or form an indication that I’m shirking my domestic responsiblities.
The second story was another piece about everyone’s favourite idiot-bowler, Shane Warne. In a repeat of an incident a few years ago when he was found to be "playing away from home" via SMS, it seems he has been up to no good in South Africa. Which provides an interesting counterpoint to the first article.
My only conclusion can be that its a good idea to get the beers in with the team after work unless you are an uncouth loudmouthed Victorian leg spinner. Stuart MacGill is still safe then.
