A Good Day

Today has definitely been one to savour. After a suitably late start we got up and watched our recording of the New Zealand South Africa Tri Nations Match, but didn’t manage to spot Mr and Mrs Ramsbottom in the crowd, although they were there.

After a family outing to Balham (haircut for Dad, assorted books for Mum followed by coffee and panini) we retired to the family residence. There I got to spend a couple of hours with the boy whilst Mum partook of some "executive brainstorming"

As an antidote to all of those childrens tv tunes I’ve got Alexander on a fairly rigourous programme of musical education. This afternoon’s topic was The Flaming Lips. I think he rather liked it.

This is, of course, contrary to the new section on this page which you should be able to see at the bottom left just above the blog sticker. Just a little feature to let you dear reader know what I’m currently reading and listening to. It may even get updated, you never know your luck.

  1. Frankly, I think the child could benefit from some more challellenging fare; specifically ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ from AC/DC or some top quality Gabriel era Genesis, like ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’…all this modern poncey stuff will only confuse the lad.

P.S Congratulations Mr and Mrs P

  2. Thanks for reminding me Mr Throwback, I will have to add Stiff Upper Lip (and Dirty Deeds) to young Blobbys listening list. The only problem is Mrs Ps aversion to AC/DC. I feel a cunning plan is in order.
