Top Five

In my previous entry I promised some action this day. I also mentioned my record collection. As you may have gathered from previous not so subtle hints I’ve been reading Nick Hornby books recently. As you would know if you’ve read High Fidelity (one of my top ten books), making lists is a bit of an obsession with us blokes. The subject also came up on my recent rediscovering your masculinity weekend. So, without further ado, here are my current top five best albums of all time, ever.

Of course, this is all subject to change, probably by tomorrow morning if I know me.

What are your favourite tunes? Leave me some tips to improve my musical knowledge in the comments section. Or just a quick note to let me know how completely spot on I am. I don’t have a problem with fawning praise.

  1. Jonny P’s top 5 Aussie Albums (in no particular order).
    No Exit: The Angels
Dirty Deed Done Dirt Cheap: AC/DC
    Radios Appear: Radio Birdman
The Living End: The Living End
All For 1: The Screaming Jets

  2. Chris Difford is probably this countries finest lyricist going. He is also one half of the group Squeeze’s main songwriting duo, Difford and Tilbrook, once known as a modern day Lennon and McCartney. I don’t know if you Emmy are too young to know about any of what has been written here, but a word of advice, go out and buy some proper music, Squeeze included, and learn about the great things in life! If you do know about real music, then delete these comments!
