Diversion

In a small diversion from our usual subject matter, here are a few links to a subject that I think is important, web site accessibiility. These are mainly for Jonny (about time you updated that page old bean). He now makes his living knocking up web sites and of course knows all about this subject. Not only that, I am sure he has memorised all of the content.

But just in case he needs a refresher, and for those others of you who are thinking about knocking up a web site say hello to;

On a personal note, this web site is not exactly accessible, or even fully compliant to standards but I am getting there. My other site, however, is so compliant you can see the wisps of super cooled air it leaves in its wake.

Update

I have started to make amends for my slack html coding. I am going through this site a page at a time and validating the source. As I become standards compliant I will add a lovely little graphic to each page.

First cab off the rank is the wish list.

  1. Yes, I know, my page is rather stagnant and really could do with an update of some description, not in the least to make it standards compliant. I forsee this happening some time after Bobo Updates her blog, or when Hell Freezes over, which ever hapens first!

  2. The Definition of irony: Validation failing due to code around the validation link/image. Try clicking on the XHTML Icon on “other site” page !!

  3. Mea culpa old bean. But by the miracles of modern science all is now well again.

    Just goes to prove that this standards compliance malarkey requires eternal vigilance as well.
