Q: (for the Flickr salesman.)
Can you upload CRW (Canon Raw) files to the site?
Or are you shooting in JPG?
I want a site to upload my CRW, and do the image correction online, and publish the JPG.
No Tim, flickr is mostly for the storing of your finished photos. They have a 5Mb upload limit. They only support JPEGs, non-animated GIFs and PNGs. (see http://www.flickr.com/help.gne#18)
For serious photo dudes I’d recommend photo.net but even they wouldn’t let you store your raw files on their servers.
The only answer is to buy more disk. I just got my hands on a maxtor one touch external drive. Cheaps as chips and 300Gb of space waiting to be filled with my photos.
Then again, maybe you’ve stumbled on your next big dot com idea.
This time next year we’ll be millionaires.
